3 Great Copywriting & Journalism Resources

I follow a FB page and podcast called “A Little Bird Told Me Freelancing Podcast.” Not only are the two hosts talented and eloquent, they also have charming accents. I often check out a podcast if I am feeling a little cynical or jaded about work. I have to admit that (while I love my job), sometimes it can feel tedious. Often, something as simple as a cup of coffee, a refreshing glass of water, or a freelance writing podcast can cheer me right up.

Anyway, yesterday they posted two links that I thought were so helpful that I would like to share them with you.

If you’re a copywriter (much like myself), you may be overwhelmed at how is out there. Sometimes, it can be so overwhelming, you don’t know where to start. Then you end up curled up in the fetal position on your couch… Or perhaps that’s just me. Well, if you want a short article that can give you some good starting points, check out “15 Must-Know Copy-writing Techniques.” This is a great article that can help you vary your work and keep things interesting.

If you are a journalist, you probably know how important it is to stay at the top of your game. In fact, even if you’re not a journalist, you should probably check out this list of “10 Essential Self-Taught Journalism Skills“. It is a great list of skills that will help you become more knowledgeable about the writing industry (in general).

I hope these links helped you out. I know that they’ve added things to my to-do list. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the “A Little Bird Told Me Freelancing Podcast” for a little inspiration and motivation.
